Oils...always use oils...they blend better than acrylics I find...Monkeys?? Where?...LOL..there's a cat under the table but now monkeys...they're holding cans of beer...might look like monkeys' heads...
It's not easy to see all the details in a small picture....but you can see they're cans in the full size pic...-

What pigments do you generally use ?
This work looks like gouache ...
It's hot in the centre and cool around the edges...
And there is a negative-photo effect going on...
Very vibrant...
(Are they monkeys sitting on the knees ?)
