Thought it was high time I posted some the new stuff I've been working on. I have been working on Fairytale inspirations. Not designed for children. the little fairy canvas would probably look cute in a girls room though...
The first artwork is a collage in a shadow box (deep frame). This is an abstract interpretation of a fairy tale using paper, feathers, jewels, braid, embroidery, words cut out of photocopied paper which I have aged.
Second one is a tiny, tiny canvas, the painting of a fairy garden has been crackle glazed to resemble an old tile. I cut out the crown frame from heavy card and painted it gold and decorated it with a little whimsy gold paste paint -finished with a glass cabouchon -beaded hanger and beads hanging from the edge of the canvas make it look like a little jewel. I bought the canvas in a pack of three from Lidl!

You shuld be able to buy crackle glaze in most art shops and for larger effects in a diy shop -gthey sell some in tins now, I prefer to use this method and you can't really get the smaller crackles in tins or not that I know of. Hugs xx
