Anyone got any thoughts on how we should go about voting or judging the art competition -obviously entrants can't judge -we could ask for votes or I could judge or we could ask someone to volunteer as judge and have someone different each time as long as they have not entered....I leave it up to the group members...I have to be honest and say I'm not comfortable with judging it!

I agree. For me though it is more about getting people to enter. Winning and art are not really compatable. I certainly wouldn't want to win so please can we have some more entries and possibly a volunteer to judge!
I should be interested to hear from other members with their thoughts on whether they are just shy of showing their work (daft because blogging is all about verbal expression and this is really no different) or whether the subject is too difficult or too vague. Maybe now we have a couple of entries more will come!-

What kind of pics are acceptable? Do they have to be pics we have drawn and painted on the net or pics we have done that we have photographed to put on the net?

All original artwork is acceptable apart from photographs and digital art -so it needs to be photographed and then uploaded, any drawings that are done on the internet would be classed as digital-we may run other comps which ask for digital artwork later if this one is succesful - so it has to be original handcrafted artwork ie: drawing ,painting, collage, sculpture in clay or papier mache, found items can be used for collage and you interpret whatever way you feel appropriate but it must be artwork in it's truest sense....hope that helps if not give us another shout
look forward to seeing your work!

Why dont you use an independant judge?

That way it remains fair and unbiased
