Yes thats good the expression draws attention to just outside the picture reinforced by the shadow at the edge.
Is the look expectation or apprehension (or a bit of both)?-

I never thought about that while drawing her. (Too busy concentrating on details and colours!) But to me, I guess she is excited, happy and maybe a little bit of expectation.
