Crayola colouring pencils & Artists Colouring pencils
Approx. 3 days (busy week!)
I feel it's not as good as my previous work I admit and also my son decided to draw a line across one side with his grey felt-tip pen so I can to tipex it out and colour over it!

I can spot so many little mistakes but overall I think it's okay. I am my own worst critic!

Your son has talent as well.
He has drawn a line straight to the man's heart!
The contrast between the wallpaper and the pattern of the man's jacket works very well to frame his face.
You have a lot of expression in that face. I think that is an area you should think about developing in future works.
Is the hand gesture significant? The colouring seems to emphasise the hands and the head so the line to the heart is quite appropriate.

I laughed out loud when you said about my boy 'drawing a ling to his heart!' 
I know the colouring of the hands was a little too much and I did not realise until afterwards!
I did find his face the most difficult but it looks almost the same as the original picture I copied it from!
I never thought about his hand gesture before until now! To me, I guess it could mean firmness, authority but also a barrier to not let his feelings out to everyone (as his character is quite inhibited emotionally on the TV show!)

The intensity of the character shines through your picture. I think is excellent! people are the hardest things to draw and paint! You captured the feeling and the essence of the man!... great stuff. xxx
